Administrative offices at City Hall and the Public Works Department provide remote services to the public Monday through Thursday. Remote services to the public have been discontinued on Fridays.
The change in operating hours is a result of severe budget cuts brought by COVID-19. The cuts have resulted in a 10 percent reduction in the City’s workforce, unpaid furloughs and salary reductions for all employees.
Public safety and emergency services continue to be provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
To slow the spread of COVID-19, the Del Mar Civic Center and Public Works headquarters remain closed to the public for in-person service. City staff is available by phone and email from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Most City business, including utility payments, permit applications and planning services can be completed online.
