The City is adopting an interim street sweeping schedule on Coast Boulevard and reminds residents to avoid citations by staying clear of No Parking zones during posted street sweeping periods.
Starting Aug. 21, and moving forward on the first and third Mondays of each month, the street sweeper will service the west side of Coast Boulevard from the railroad crossing to 23rd Street. The No Parking window is from 8 to 10 a.m. and fine for violations is $59.
Across Del Mar, the City is reducing its street sweeping schedule following a significant cost increase for the contracted service.
The City Council is set to consider a modified schedule and discuss alternatives for the service Sept. 18.
Cities must follow street sweeping schedules to comply with permits issued by the California Water Board.
