Animal Services

The City's Animal Services are provided by the San Diego Humane Society (SDHS).

  • For animal-related emergencies or animal cruelty, call their Law Enforcement dispatch at 619-299-7012 ext. 1, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, they can be reached at their website.
  • Animals found or impounded in the City of Del Mar will be sheltered at the San Diego Humane Society shelters located at 2905 San Luis Rey, and 572 Airport Road, Oceanside. The Oceanside campus is open 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. for general business and 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. for adoptions.
