SDG&E maintains our streetlights and will service them at no cost to you. Please contact SDG&E at (858) 654-1219.You can also use the SDG&E Report a Street Light Outage online form or send an email to streetlighting@sdge.com.

Del Mar's street sweeper is designed to pick up a majority of debris in the streets. Some pine needles and other small particles are left due to the nature of the equipment.Streets

A Citizen-Initiated Traffic Device Consideration must be submitted and is available on the City Website under Traffic & Roadway Standards. Please see Part C of the Procedures for Administering Traffic Warrants & Guidelines (PDF). Approval by the City Council is also required prior to installation.

Under emergency situations, the Public Works Department will provide up to 10 bags and access to sand for Del Mar residents only. Residents must provide proof of residence (such as a driver's license) to receive sandbags. This service is available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays at the Public Works yard located at 2240 Jimmy Durante Boulevard. Residents must fill bags themselves. Sandbags are also available at local building and supply stores like Dixieline or The Home Depot.
