What are the requirements to run for a City Council seat?

A candidate for City Council must be a resident and registered voter in the City of Del Mar, and be nominated by no less than 20 registered voters of the City of Del Mar. The candidate-filing period is governed by state law and is limited to between the 88th day and the 113th day before the election.
