Neighborhood Alert: Pesticide Use on Flowering Plants Is Killing Honeybees
Concerns have been raised regarding the use of pesticides on flowering plants, due to its effect on beehive colonies.  A newly established beehive colonies in Del Mar was recently destroyed, and all the evidence suggests that it was caused by pesticide use on flowering plants or bushes in the immediate vicinity.  When the bees ingest the poisoned nectar, it kills them.  Bee populations are extremely beneficial to the environment, so please refrain from using any pesticides on flowering plants, and limit any use of pesticides to the greatest extent possible. Please follow the link to view a YouTube video provides more information about the situation.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuBXmZORfOM
