The role of the committee is to provide input to the City Council on the master planning effort, which includes the development of a preferred concept for the Master Plan.
Once a preferred concept is identified, a final master plan will be routed to the City Council approval.

The traps and their attached ropes can present a serious entanglement hazard for swimmers, surfers and marine life.

Cyclists and walkers headed to Del MarDuring the next three weeks, cyclists and walkers are scheduled to travel through Del Mar as part of charitable events.
Between 7:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow, Bike the Coast riders will pedal through Del Mar in groups of 30 or fewer. No traffic controls or rest stops are planned.
On Nov. 7-8, small groups participating in the MS Walk will trek through Del Mar.
On Nov. 8, Ride the Point Bike Ride participants will travel a route that includes a brief trip through Del Mar.
And from 7:15 to 10:15 a.m. Nov. 14, pink-clad participants of the Susan G. Komen Three-Day Walk will make their boisterous march through Del Mar to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Electricity provider recruiting advisory committee members, workshop participantsThe Clean Energy Alliance is recruiting residents to serve on its Community Advisory Committee and participate in a community workshop.
As the default energy provider for Del Mar and neighboring cities, Clean Energy Alliance serves customers with electricity from renewable sources.
Committee members provide feedback to the board and serve as a liaisons to their communities. Details are included with the application paperwork. The recruitment closes Dec. 22.
In related business, CEA is hosting a community workshop from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at Solana Beach City Hall for member agency residents to address energy-related challenges and help shape future programs, rebates and incentives.
