 Del Mar lifeguards, firefighters and public works crews were first on scene early Wednesday after a section of bluff collapsed at North Beach. No injuries were reported.

Tuesday: SANDAG to present on bluffs projectsRepresentatives from SANDAG on Tuesday are scheduled to deliver a presentation to the Del Mar City Council covering the Del Mar Bluffs Stabilization Phase 5 and Del Mar Bluffs Access Improvements projects.
The bluffs stabilization project is expected to continue through mid 2027; SANDAG is studying design alternatives for the access improvements.
The Coastal Commission requires the improvements as part of its approval of the stabilization program.

County seeks feedback for disaster plan updateAs the County of San Diego updates its Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, officials are seeking responses to a survey. The plan identifies hazards that could threaten communities and ways to reduce the impacts of disasters. It is designed to protect people and property.
The plan is updated every five years to reflect current conditions; the engagement survey closes April 3.
