Volunteer Opportunities!

The City of Del Mar is recruiting for volunteers to serve on the City's Business Support Advisory Committee. For more information, please visit:

Why Volunteer?

The City of Del Mar is one of the most scenic, beautiful, and protected communities along the coast of California. The Del Mar Community Plan outlines the village character that residents envisioned when they helped craft the Plan to protect and maintain that character.  Our residents are highly-educated and involved, and bring a high degree of expertise to the committees and organizations they join.

Be a part of that energy, get to know your neighbors and community, and help promote and protect the beautiful City of Del Mar.

Ready to Apply?

Interested citizens should complete a Citizen Interest Form and submit it to the City of Del Mar’s Administrative Services Department. There are multiple options to complete the form:

Forms should be submitted to City of Del Mar, Administrative Services Department, 2010 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Suite 120, Del Mar, CA 92014.

About the Business Support Advisory Committee

The mission of the BSAC is to discuss and provide advice to the City Council on the challenges facing Del Mar’s businesses, in particular the current processes and regulations, to be as business-friendly as possible. The BSAC also reviews and provides input to City Council on initiatives that affect the business community.

Work Program: Review the strengths and weaknesses of current processes and regulations and provide input as to how the City could be more business-friendly. Review the opportunities and constraints from a business perspective. Prioritize the issues and methods for implementation. Recommend tasks to implement these recommendations, with both short- and long-term actions. Monitor the implementation and determine the success of implementation and effectiveness in resolving issues. Regularly report to City Council on Committee progress. Serve as a conduit of information to the greater business community. Assist the City with the review of specific actions and Council initiatives/priority projects that affect the business community; and other duties assigned by the City Council, and where applicable, the City Manager.

The BSAC meets on the fourth Tuesday each month at 9 a.m. in the Council Chambers.
