About the Business Support Advisory Committee
The mission of the BSAC is to discuss and provide advice to the City Council on the challenges facing Del Mar’s businesses, in particular the current processes and regulations, to be as business-friendly as possible. The BSAC also reviews and provides input to City Council on initiatives that affect the business community.
Work Program: Review the strengths and weaknesses of current processes and regulations and provide input as to how the City could be more business-friendly. Review the opportunities and constraints from a business perspective. Prioritize the issues and methods for implementation. Recommend tasks to implement these recommendations, with both short- and long-term actions. Monitor the implementation and determine the success of implementation and effectiveness in resolving issues. Regularly report to City Council on Committee progress. Serve as a conduit of information to the greater business community. Assist the City with the review of specific actions and Council initiatives/priority projects that affect the business community; and other duties assigned by the City Council, and where applicable, the City Manager.
