About the Finance Committee

The nine-member Finance Committee reviews the annual budget, quarterly financial reports, and the annual audited financial statements and the city’s investment policy. The Committee also researches and reports on financial issues of interest to the City Council. Examples of some of the Finance Committee’s reports include:

  • Analysis of Law Enforcement Alternatives
  • Long-Range Financial Planning 
  • Establishment of a Pension Reserve 
  • Analysis and Recommendations on City Financing Capacity for the City Hall Project 
  • Review of the Budget and Financial Statements 
  • Review of Rates and Charges 
  • Analysis and Development of New Revenue Sources 
  • Analysis of Underutilized City Property
