I need sand bags; where do I get them?: Under emergency situations, the Public Works Department will provide up to 10 bags and access to sand for Del Mar residents only from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. weekdays at the Public Works yard located at 2240 Jimmy Durante Boulevard. Sand bags are also available at local building and supply stores like Dixieline or The Home Depot. Residents must fill bags with their own labor.

1. Who do I call to report that a streetlight is out?: SDG&E maintains our streetlights and will service them at no cost to you. Please contact SDG&E at (858) 654-1219 or email our Public Works Department at publicworks@delmar.ca.us .

2. Who do I call to report that a traffic signal is out?: Call Public Works at (858) 755-3294. Identify yourself as a resident of City of Del Mar with the location of the signal and a description of the problem.

3. When is my street scheduled for sweeping?: Street Sweeping Signs are located on many streets and a Street Sweeping Schedule is available. You may also contact Public Works at (858) 755-3294. Street Sweeping Schedule

4. Why does the street sweeper leave debris on my street?: Del Mar's street sweeper is designed to pick up a majority of debris in the streets. Some pine needles and other small particles are left due to the nature of the equipment.

5. How can I get a "STOP" sign installed on my corner?: A Citizen-Initiated Traffic Device Consideration must be submitted and is available on City Website under Traffic. Approval by the City Council is also required prior to installation.

6. Who do I call to get a pothole repaired?: Service requests to the Public Works Department can be made by calling (858) 755-3294 or send an email to publicworks@delmar.ca.us. For emergency calls, call North County Dispatch JPA at (858) 756-1126.
