How are the Del Mar City Council and Mayor elected?

The electorate of Del Mar elect City Council members at the City’s General Municipal Election held in November of even-numbered years. The citizenry elects all Council members at large. There are no political districts in the City. The positions of Mayor and Deputy Mayor rotate among the Council members on a yearly basis upon selection by the Council.
