Striping and mulching

During night operations this week, crews painted striping on new pavement. After the paint is shot onto the blacktop, workers apply heat right away so the paint doesn't run.

During the normal workday, workers spread mulch on planting areas and completed items on a punch list of touch-up work.

The Downtown Streetscape Project was first envisioned in 1996 as part of a citywide street and sidewalk improvement program.
