Fresh blacktop

Motorists are feeling a smooth ride along Camino del Mar as road crews completed major grinding and resurfacing of the roadway this week.

The fresh blacktop will be left to cure next week before lane striping is painted during night operations the week of Oct. 14.

The paving work is one of the final pieces of the Downtown Streetscape Project.

Also this week, workers installed bicycle racks and prepared planting areas for plants that are scheduled for delivery on Monday.
