San Diego Rain Barrel Program

The San Diego County Water Authority, in collaboration with Solana Center for Environmental Innovation, is offering 50-gallon rain water barrels at a discounted price. The rain barrel, which retails at $149, is being sold at a discounted price of $90. After the customers purchase the rain barrel, they can apply for an additional $75 rebate from socalwatersmart.com. The offer is valid until December 31, 2016. Beginning January, the additional rebate will be reduced from $75 to $35.

The customers can order the rain barrels online and collect them from any of the following rain barrel events.

• Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Rice Canyon Preserve in Bonita 
• Saturday, December 3rd from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Water Conservation Garden in El Cajon
• Saturday, December 10th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas
• Saturday, December 10th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm in Escondido at Rincon del Diablo MWD
