Construction of Rail Bridges to Resume in late August

The crew will restart construction on the four rail bridges that cross over the Los Peñasquitos Lagoon in late August. The crew has already begun mobilizing the equipment to the project area. Full-time work will begin on August 24, 2016. The current work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Saturday daytime work. Intermittent nighttime work to deliver equipment and materials will occur between midnight and 6 AM during scheduled freight windows, at which time there will be no freight train service.
