Climate Action Plan Update  

The City of Del Mar has posted its draft Climate Action Plan (CAP) online. Here is a link to the draft CAP.

Del Mar’s draft CAP sets goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 and 2035 along with a proposed list of strategies and measures to achieve those targets, however the CAP itself does not establish any new programs or requirements for the City. The CAP includes an implementation plan for working toward the recommended programs and policies in phases.

The adoption of the CAP has been temporarily postponed. The CAP is tentatively scheduled to be heard by City Council for possible adoption on February 1, 2016.
