The City's solid waste hauler, EDCO, is set to increase residential and commercial rates by 6.6% effective July 1.
For residential customers using 96-gallon, gray trash carts, rates will increase $1.99 per month, from $29.95 to $31.94.
The annual adjustment reflects increases to the Consumer Price Index and, in keeping with industry standards, is allowed under EDCO's agreement with the City of Del Mar.
