New waste hauler introducing new payment options

EDCO truck and carts

Del Mar's new solid waste hauler is introducing new ways for single family residential customers to pay their trash and recycling bills.

The hauler, EDCO, is set to begin issuing quarterly bills during the second week of August. The invoices will cover collection services for July, August and September.

Moving forward, residents can expect to receive their three-month trash bills at the beginning of each quarter. Unlike those of the previous hauler, charges for EDCO's services will not appear on the bimonthly utility bill issued by the City of Del Mar.

EDCO is developing online, by-phone and automated payment options. Details will be included with the initial EDCO bills and posted on the EDCO website.

Also in August, residents will see final charges from the previous hauler reflected on their City utility bills.
