Effective Oct. 4, the City of Del Mar is modifying options for members of the public to comment during remote, public meetings.
Because of COVID-19, public meetings are expected to remain in remote formats through the end of 2021.
Every 30 days, the City Council will reconsider policies for remote meetings in accordance with Assembly Bill 361.
Also in accordance with the State law for remote public meetings:
- Pre-registering to speak will not be required, although speakers will have the option to register early to assist with speaker management at the meeting ;
- The Zoom link and dial-in information will be published on agendas instead of being emailed to pre-registered public speakers;
- Members of the public will be able to join meetings online or by phone; and
- Advisory committees will be equipped to take oral testimony from public speakers.
