Powerhouse Park Tot Lot Renovation Project
NOTICE: THE TOT LOT WILL BE CLOSED FOR CONTRUCTION FROM DECEMBER 2022 THROUGH FEBRUARY 2023
NOTICE: THE TOT LOT WILL BE CLOSED FOR CONTRUCTION FROM DECEMBER 2022 THROUGH FEBRUARY 2023
A new tot lot is coming to Powerhouse Park. After 18 years, the elements and wear and tear from thousands of children have taken their toll on the playground overlooking 15th Street beach.
Plans call for replacing the equipment, rubberized surfacing and swing sets. A new, “ocean-themed” design includes a swing set, custom climbing structure that supports a wider range of age-appropriate play, sand pit table, and several small pieces of ground-based play equipment. The project also includes an upgraded drainage system and vegetation pruning to improve views. Hardscape, donor bricks, landscaping and the existing shade structure will remain as they are.
