Who provides law enforcement services in Del Mar?
The City of Del Mar has contracted for law enforcement services from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department since the City’s incorporation in 1959.  Through contract with the Sheriff’s Department, the City of Del Mar receives routine patrol of our streets by patrol and traffic deputies, crime prevention services and a wide array of other law enforcement services.  In addition, the City employs a Park Ranger who patrols the City’s beaches and parks, and a number of Parking Enforcement Officers who enforce timed and metered parking regulations in the City.
