There are new parking meters on St. Peter’s Church property along Maiden Lane.  The parking meters are the result of the City responding to the Church and reaching an agreement with the goal of giving more people a chance to use the scarce parking.  In the past, only those who arrived early could find a space and many of them seemed to stay most of the day. With the installation of the new meters, there will be more turnover of parking all day long.

On Sundays, and other special occasions, bags on the meters will indicate that parking is reserved specifically for Church patrons.

The Church will split the meter funds with the City, and the City will use its share for meter upkeep.  The meters are enforced from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and parking is $1 per hour.
