City Seeks Public Input on Hazard Mitigation Plan

2/17/2010

The Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan is a countywide plan that identifies risks and ways to minimize damage by natural and manmade disasters. The City of Del Mar is in the process of revising the plan by updating mitigation strategies, reviewing the hazards that could impact the community, and continuing actions to maintain our progress in making the City better able to respond to and recover from natural and man-made disasters.  A vital part of this process is receiving public input regarding the threats facing our region and potential actions to reduce the impact of those hazards.

For more information about the plan, please review it on the County’s website:

For questions about the plan or to provide your input please e-mail County OES at oeshmp@sdcounty.ca.gov or Tom Gallup at tgallup@ci.encinitas.ca.us.
