Building Services
The City of Del Mar contracts with EsGil for building plan check and building inspection services. These building services are provided at the City of Solana Beach Building Department, which is located at City Hall, 635 S. Highway 101, Solana Beach, CA 92075.

The hours of operation of the Building Department at Solana Beach are as follows:

Counter: Monday through Thursday: 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Friday: 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. (Closed alternate Fridays)

Inspector: Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.; Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 9: a.m. (Closed alternate Fridays)

Before proceeding to the Solana Beach City Hall for building permits, your plans must be reviewed by the City of Del Mar Planning Department and the applicant shall obtain a project transmittal sheet to submit with your plans for Plan Check.

**Please note that the Building Department/City Hall is closed every other Friday**
