Sustainability Advisory Board

The Sustainability Advisory Board was established to assist the City Council in promoting clean and reliable energy and in taking a leadership position in educating its residents and businesses about energy savings programs.  It works with other regional and municipal groups to seek combined efforts in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources; advises the Council on any bills before the California Legislature that the City should take a position to support or oppose as they affect Del Mar and the San Diego region; and reviews the Del Mar Municipal Code (DMMC) sections relevant to energy consumption and savings in the City and works with the Planning Commission and Planning staff to propose revised DMMC language as required.  The Committee consists of six voting members selected by the Council for four-year terms.
