Tip-top junior lifeguard session

The 2019 session of the Del Mar Junior Lifeguard program draws to an end today as nearly 800 participants prepare to return to school with new appreciation for the ocean, beach safety and teamwork.

The City employs 58 lifeguards and 60 percent of them came from the Del Mar Junior Lifeguard program.

Community Choice Energy heading to City Council

Community Choice Energy, or CCE, enables local governments to purchase power from renewable sources on behalf of their consumers. The program also introduces competition and customer choice into an energy marketplace served almost entirely by San Diego Gas & Electric.
