To meet the challenge COVID-19 has brought to public participation, the City of Del Mar is launching a telephone system so speakers can call into meetings and read their remarks aloud.
The system will be up and running for the City Council meeting 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Speakers can testify during public oral communications or speak to specific agenda items. As with meetings held in person, comments will be limited to three minutes per speaker. Time donations will not be permitted.
To provide comment, callers must complete an on-line tele-comment form before noon on the day of the meeting. After receiving the request to speak, City staff will respond with an email that includes call-in information and other instructions.
The tele-comment form and other instructions are posted on the Public Comment During COVID-19 webpage: http://www.delmar.ca.us/publiccomment
Residents can tele-comment during City Council, Planning Commission and Design Review Board meetings.
To submit written communications on City Council agenda items, email the City Clerk: firstname.lastname@example.org
For Planning Commission or Design Review Board items, email: email@example.com
To ensure timely delivery of written communications, correspondence must be received no later than noon on the day of the meeting. All communications will be included in the record.
