2017 Water and Sewer Improvements Project

The 2017 Water and Wastewater Utility Improvements Project removes and replaces approximately 6,000 feet of wastewater pipelines, 200 feet of potable water pipelines, and completes the abandonment of a previously decommissioned wastewater pump station.  The scope of work for this project was developed as a result of the utility master planning studies completed in 2016.  The City’s contractor, Piperin Corporation, will begin the work in March, and Harris & Associates will provide inspections and Construction Management oversight.   The work will begin in March.  Specific locations are listed below;

S-1       Torrey Pines Terrace east of Ocean Avenue=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 637 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-9       7th Street / Stratford Court=   Insitu Refurbishment 350 feet of 8-inch Sewer Main.

S-11     10th Street=   Open Cut Spot Repair to 8-inch Sewer Main.

S-13     Pacific Lane=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 425 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-14     Camino del Mar / 13th Street=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 400 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-15     11th Street / Camino del Mar=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 250 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-16     10th Street / Camino del Mar=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 760 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-17     11th Street / Cuchara Drive=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 270 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-19     Amphitheatre Drive / Kalamath Drive=   Open Cut Trench and Replace 300 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-20     Amphitheatre Drive / Klish Way=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 275 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-21     Rimini Road / Cuchara Drive=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 429 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-22     Rimini Road / Van Dyke Avenue= Open Cut Trench and Replace 200 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-23     Umatilla Road / Van Dyke=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 312 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-25     Serpentine Drive / Forest Way=    Open Cut Trench and Replace 160 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-26     Seaview Avenue / Serpentine Way alley=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 400 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-27     377 Bellaire Street=  Replace 100 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-28     Santa Fe Avenue / 19th Street=   Open Cut Trench and Replace 160 feet of 6-inch Sewer Main.

S-29     20th Street / Ocean Front=  Open Cut Trench and Replace 109 feet of 8-inch Sewer Main.

S-31     28th Street / 27th Street alley=  Open Cut Spot Repair to 8-inch Sewer Main.

S-32     2120 Jimmy Durante Boulevard=   In Situ Spot Repair to 12-inch Sewer Main.

SR-32   In Situ Sewer Manhole Rehabilitations=   Various locations throughout City of Del Mar.
