Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Programs

As of December 2014, the Del Mar City Council approved the City’s participation in property assessed clean energy (PACE) programs. Through these programs, property owners can finance energy efficiency, solar energy, and water conservation upgrade projects with no up-front costs. Residential and commercial property owners in Del Mar can finance 100% of their project and pay it back over time as a voluntary property tax assessment through their existing property tax bill.

PACE programs are just one alternative for financing energy and water efficiency upgrades. Residents and businesses are encouraged to thoroughly research all options, similar to any consumer decision.
