City of Del Mar Parking Information
Now accepting credit cards for Pay and Display meters at North Beach and at the meters on Coast Boulevard and 17th Street at the Lifeguard HQ public lot!
- Parking is Free at City Hall (1050 Camino Del Mar)
- Free Parking Downtown on street after 6 p.m.
- Valet and Validated Parking at Del Mar Plaza
- Metered Parking and pay lot at beach
- Metered Parking under L'Auberge Del Mar 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Metered parking for $3 per hour, enforced from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., is provided at the beach on Coast Boulevard and the pay lot behind the 17th Street Lifeguard Head Quarters.
South Del Mar
At the south end of Del Mar, paid parking is available for $1.50 per hour along Camino Del Mar. Drivers "Park, Pay" for a receipt from the pay station and "Display" the receipt on their dashboard.
Paid parking is available for $3 per hour at the North Beach along Camino Del Mar. This area is also served by pay stations where the driver "Parks, Pays and Displays" the receipt on their dashboard. Credit cards are now accepted.
Village Shopping Area
In the village shopping area, metered parking is available under the Inn L'Auberge for $1 per hour during the off-season. In response to the greater demand of early summer, the meter cost at the Inn increases to $2 per hour starting June 1.
And of course, there is always the option of buying a permit for parking under the Inn L’Auberge. Permits are now available for $175 for three months, $350 for six months, $450 for nine months and $600 for twelve months. The L'Auberge parking garage entrance is on 15th Street, one block west of the corner of Camino Del Mar. It is close to the Plaza shopping area, the Post Office and it is within walking distance to Seagrove Park, the Powerhouse Community Center and the beach.
