As part of the implementation of the City’s Clean Water Program, the City has developed and implements its Jurisdictional Urban Runoff Management Plan (JURMP). The JURMP describes the City’s programmatic activities and requirements aimed at preserving and improving water quality conditions in our primary water bodies – the San Dieguito and Los Peñasquitos Lagoons and the Pacific Ocean.
Specific requirements included in the City’s JURMP are in direct response to Regional Water Quality Control Board ‘s (RWQCB) storm water permits. The most recent plan, located below, was updated in 2008 to include necessary changes based on the 2007 RWQCB permit. In 2013, the RWQCB adopted a new storm water permit, R9-2013-0001, that requires significant changes to the City’s JURMP. These changes are currently being developed and will be completed by June 2015 at which time, a completely updated document will be available.
To report its program, each year the City of Del Mar prepares an annual report that describes program implementation and efforts to preserve and improve water quality conditions. These annual reports, which include minor updates to the JURMP document, are available below. As a result of the new storm water permit, the annual reporting has changed significantly and is reflected in the FY 2012-2013 annual report.
